Co-chairs Tracey Wiseman and Susan McCurdy are excited at the potential for the new "Teaching" garden at Clary Gardens. Educational workshops will start later THIS MONTH, with the first one titled: "Starting from Scratch" hosted by Clary Gardens at 6pm on August 23, 2018.
This garden is to be a partnership with the Clary Garden Foundation and the Coshocton County Master Gardener Volunteers. The purpose of this garden is to bring educational opportunities to the public and as an opportunity to the County Master Gardeners to be more involved with the "emerging botanical garden" in Coshocton County.
It should be noted that the Master Gardener Volunteers are not employees of the Clary Garden Foundation and that all works are done on a volunteer basis. The day-to-day maintenance of the garden will rely on the staff at Clary Gardens. The garden director, Jandi Adams, will be the liaison between Clary Gardens and the Coshocton County MGV's. If she is not available to attend one of the meetings, one of the co-chairs will advise on what is decided.
A PUBLIC/COMMUNITY MEETING IS BEING PLANNED FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 23RD, AT 6PM. THIS IS A FREE EVENT AND ANYONE INTERESTED IN LEARNING HOW TO START A PERENNIAL GARDEN OR A FLOWER BED (FROM THE VERY BEGINNING) IS ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. NO RSVP IS NEEDED.
