MUSHROOMS: A WORLD OF WONDER

Mushroom hunting season is quickly approaching and the Coshocton Public Library invites you to join Walt Sturgeon of the Ohio Mushroom Society for a diverse program about the fungi found at our feet!

Join us to learn more about distinctive edible and toxic species, folklore, bioluminescent fungi, and hallucinogens. In addition, program attendees can enjoy photography from Walt before setting out on mushroom hunting adventures!

If you've seen recent aerial footage of Coshocton, chances are it's the product of Kyle Dobbins.
Curious about how he does it? Want to learn more about drones? Interested in seeing more footage?
If so, you won't want to miss this program!
Join the Coshocton Public Library on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. to learn more about drone technology from Kyle: the equipment and apps he recommends to the regulations drone owners and operators must adhere to.
To conclude this program, participants will view exclusive drone footage of Coshocton captured by Kyle.

Holiday Jams & Jellies

Looking for unique homemade holiday gift ideas? Learn to make some tasty food gifts at the Holiday Jams and Jellies Class on Thursday, November 4 from 6:00-7:30 PM. Recipes will include Pomegranate Jelly, Carrot Cake Jam, and Low-Sugar Apple Pie Jam. Learn to safely create these delicious spreads during this hands-on workshop. The class will be held at Clary Gardens in the Compton House (Red House) and will be taught by OSU Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Educator, Emily Marrison. Program cost is $5 per participant. Gardening with Sprouts

The Johnson Humrickhouse Museum is excited to offer a FREE take-home craft for preschool and school-age kids! *There will not be a virtual or in-person demonstration. You just make an appointment and then pick-up your supplies! No internet, Zoom or Youtube needed. The materials are available for pick-up all of April, but registration is required.


All supplies needed, except glue, will be provided. There is no cost for this program, and supplies will be available for the entire month of April!
Registration opens March 29th, 2021.

Hosted by the Coshocton Public Library. Registration is open. Calling all culinarians!
Want to add a little spice to your meal prep? Maybe add a dash of humor to your upcoming Memorial Day cookout? Join the Coshocton Public Library for an edgy, virtual take-and-make craft: Aprons with Attitude! Safely craft a masterpiece apron using a variety of super-sassy stencils.
Registration for this virtual event is required to reserve supplies and can be completed here.
Supplies are limited and registration closes on Friday, April 30, 2021, so register today! Craft materials will be provided at no cost, including one size fits most aprons for each registered participant. At registration, participants must provide a valid email address and may select their choice of paint color. Supplies will be made available to registered participants one week prior to the event, starting Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Supplies (apron, paint, and sponge) can be picked up from the main circulation desk at the Coshocton Public Library. At this time, participants may check out the stencil they wish to use. A library card is required to check out a stencil and stencils are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
